Effect of a turmeric-based fertilizer on tomato production at green-house level

Inorganic fertilizers have impacts on the availability of nutrients and content organic matter in soil, as well its native microbiota. A turmeric fertilizer (TF) with added food residues wood ashes was developed to evaluate effects tomato production crop soil properties. The TF prepared by emulsion technology using three concentrations expressed 1.0, 2.5 3.0 % w/v; it characterized according rheological (apparent viscosity, consistency flow behavior indexes) physical (z-average droplet size) characteristics. Nitrogen, phosphorus potassium (NPK) levels moisture-holding capacity were measured soil. Colour, soluble solid content, acidity, diameter number tomatoes evaluated. photosynthetic index leaves plants determined. It observed that when concentration increased (> 1.0 w/v), size decreased enhancing stability TF. NPK improved, especially > 1.0% w/v. Positive fruit properties (soluble number) plant positively influenced metabolic process plants, characteristics fruits.
